Step 1: Create a Facebook Business Page or Ensure Admin Rights
To connect Instagram with DotSimple, you need a Facebook Business Page. This page allows DotSimple to access the necessary data for your analyses.
Tip: If you don't have a Facebook Business Page yet, you can easily create one on Facebook.
Step 2: Ensure Admin Rights
You must ensure that you have the correct permissions for the Facebook Business Page. Only as an owner or administrator can you successfully connect Instagram.
Note: If you don't have admin rights, contact the current page administration and request to be assigned the administrator role.
Step 3: Check Access and Roles
Go to your Facebook Business Page.
Click on Settings.
Select Page Access to check your role and permissions.
Step 4: Link Instagram Account with Facebook Business Page
Ensure that your Instagram account is linked to your Facebook Business Page:
Go to the Page Settings to Linked Accounts.
Select Link Instagram Account.
Important: If your Instagram account is still a personal account, it will be converted to a business account. This is necessary for DotSimple to provide complete analytics.
Step 5: Connect Instagram with DotSimple
Log in to DotSimple.
Go to Analytics, click on the plus icon and select Add more accounts.
Select Instagram and click Next.
Select the linked Facebook Business Page to establish the connection.
Note: DotSimple only connects to your Facebook Business Page and not to your personal Facebook account.
