How do I connect Instagram with DotSimple?

Here's a step-by-step guide to help you connect Instagram with DotSimple successfully. We offer two options: connect directly through Instagram or connect via Facebook for the full set of features.

Option 1: Direct Instagram Connection

Requirements:

• An Instagram account (personal or professional).

Instructions:

1. Log in to DotSimple.

2. Go to Analytics and click "+ Add account" in the top right if you don't have any account connected yet or on the plus sign next to social media accounts you've already connected.

3. Click + Connect more accounts.

4. Select Instagram.

5. Then pick the left option: Connect with Instagram and click Connect.

6. You'll be sent to Instagram. If you're already logged in, your account will get picked up automatically otherwise, you'll be asked to log in. If your profile isn't a professional account yet, you'll get a suggestion to switch it.

7. You can choose Creator or Business.

8. Now your Instagram account is connected to DotSimple.

Note: If you connect like this, Instagram will be limited for you. For full functionality, we recommend connecting your Instagram profile via Facebook.

Option 2: Connect via Facebook for full functionality

Requirements:

• A Facebook Business Page.

• Admin rights for the Facebook Business Page.

• A professional Instagram account that is linked to the Facebook Business Page.

Instructions:

1. How do I create a Facebook Page?

   1. Go to facebook.com/pages/create.

   2. Choose the page type Business or Brand.

   3. Enter your page name and a fitting category (for example, "sports club", "cafe", "non-profit", etc.).

   4. Add more info if you want like address, phone number, or website.

   5. Click Create.

   6. Upload a profile and cover photo to make your page look awesome.

   7. Your page is now set up! You can link your Instagram account to this page right after.

Important: If you create the page yourself, you'll automatically become the admin. You need admin rights later on to successfully connect your Instagram profile.

2. Make sure you have admin rights:

   1. Go to your Facebook Business Page.

   2. Click on Settings and choose Page Access to check your role.

3. Now, let's get to connecting things:

   1. Go to the Analytics page to link an account.

   2. Click on + Connect more accounts.

   3. Choose Instagram.

   4. Now pick the right option Connect with Facebook.

   5. First, put in your Instagram account or the account you want to connect.

   6. Now you'll be redirected to Facebook to connect your account.

   7. Pick the account you want to connect.

   8. Now you're connected to the account.
