Social media platforms want users to stay on their platform as long as possible.
But an external link in your post leads them away and the algorithm often punishes that (= less reach).
That's why it's often suggested to not put external links directly into your post text, but instead in the first comment.
And that's exactly what you can plan directly in DotSimple.
Go to the post you want or click “+ Create Post”.
For the comment function, choose Instagram, Facebook and/or LinkedIn (beta).
The comment function only works with these three platforms.
Write your post as usual and add pictures or videos.
On the right next to the text field, click the “+” icon next to the text field settings.
An extra text field will appear. There you can write something like:
Link to the event: https://dotsimple.io/event
Or whatever else you want to add.
Now you can schedule the post as usual or post it immediately - the comment will be published automatically.
That's how easy it is to boost your reach without skipping links.
