How to send data to your CRM with Zapier

Overview

With Zapier Webhooks, you have the ability to send data from Salesflow to your CRM.

How to create a Zapier Webhook that sends data to your CRM

  1. Go to the Integrations tab and click on Webhooks

  2. Add a new webhook

  3. Give your integration a name and get the target URL.

  4. To get the target URL, log in to your Zapier account

  5. Click on "Create Zap"

  6. Type "Webhooks by Zapier" in the trigger search bar

  7. Click on "Webhooks by Zapier"

  8. Click on "Catch Hook" and then on "Next"

  9. Click on "Next" again in the next trigger section.

  10. Once you click on "Next," the webhook will be displayed. If you look closely, the webhook is waiting for an action. This action must come from DotSimple.

  11. Copy the webhook and paste it into DotSimple in the target URL field and click TEST!

  12. Once you click the "Test" button, an OK message should appear in DotSimple.

  13. You can also test your Zapier trigger to check if everything is working as expected. If everything is fine, click SAVE in DotSimple.

  14. Once you click Save, click on "Attach Campaign." From this point, the webhook will work as expected and wait for incoming requests.

  15. Once you click on "Attach Campaign," you can see all your campaigns and set the conditions under which the webhook should be executed.

The options for "Trigger on" are:

    A) Member connected - when someone accepts your connection request

    B) Response detected - when someone responds to one of your follow-up messages

    C) Invitation withdrawn - when the invitation is manually or automatically withdrawn

    D) Member added - when a new member is added to the campaign

    E) Member removed - when a member is removed from the campaign

This means that if you select the communication campaign and trigger on "Member connected," the webhook will always be triggered when a member is connected.

  16. Click on "Attach" to add the campaign and conditions to the webhook.
NOTE: You can add as many campaigns to the webhook by repeating step 14 (clicking on "Attach Campaign").

  17. Go back to Zapier and click on "Continue with selected record."

  18. Search for your CRM system in the action section and click on it.

  19. Choose what should happen in the CRM system, for example: add or update a contact.

  20. Each CRM system has its own actions and connection methods. At this point, it is entirely up to you to configure the CRM actions that suit your needs, as it depends on what you want to pull from DotSimple into your CRM.

  21. Once you have filled in the fields, press "Next."

  22. Test the action to ensure everything is fine, and press "Publish."

  23. Rename your Zap and make sure it is activated.

Note that you need to upgrade your plan or already have a plan to use Zapier webhooks. You can view their plans here.
